Simple way to kill education.

'We dont need no education.' A Pink floyd's masterpiece by name of 'Another Brick in the wall'. This blog post is partly inspired from this song and mostly inpired from a passage from a book I am reading, Catch-22 from Joseph Heller. The passage I am reffering is like this...
Yossarian attended the educational sessions because he wanted to find out why so many people were working so hard to kill him. A handful of other men were also interested, and the questions were many and good when Clevmger and the subversive corporal finished and made the mistake of asking if there were any.
   ‘Who is Spain?’
   ‘Why is Hitler?’
   ‘When is right?’
‘Where was that stooped and mealy-colored old man I used to call Poppa when the merry-go-round broke down?’
   ‘How was trump at Munich?’
‘Ho-ho beriberi.’ and ‘Balls!’ all rang out in rapid succession, and then there was Yossarian with the question that had no answer: ‘Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?’ The question upset them, because Snowden had been killed over Avignon when Dobbs went crazy in mid-air and seized the controls away from Huple.
The corporal played it dumb. ‘What?’ he asked.
‘Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?’
   ‘I’m afraid I don’t understand.’
‘Où sont les Neigedens d’antan?’ Yossarian said to make it easier for him.
‘Parlez en anglais, for Christ’s sake,’ said the corporal. ‘Je ne parle pas français.’
‘Neither do I,’ answered Yossarian, who was ready to pursue him through all the words in the world to wring the knowledge from him if he could, but Clevinger intervened, pale, thin, and laboring for breath, a humid coating of tears already glistening in his undernourished eyes.
Group Headquarters was alarmed, for there was no telling what people might find out once they felt free to ask whatever questions they wanted to. Colonel Cathcart sent Colonel Korn to stop it, and Colonel Korn succeeded with a rule governing the asking of questions. Colonel Korn’s rule was a stroke of genius, Colonel Korn explained in his report to Colonel Cathcart. Under Colonel Korn’s rule, the only people permitted to ask questions were those who never did. Soon the only people attending were those who never asked questions, and the sessions were discontinued altogether, since Clevinger, the corporal and Colonel Korn agreed that it was neither possible nor necessary to educate people who never questioned anything.
The blue colour portion is the one which inspired me to write this post, so true, so the imperative logic which can be derived from this quoted piece is that to kill education, you just need to stop pupils to ask question. As simple as that, and education, learning will all vanish, what will remain will be dry teachings. If you ever feel like looking into Upnishads, then you will find that, Guru's from that age knew the importance of question as all the upnishads are in form of question and answers.
With new (with present standard, its old) education system, the right of questioning is harried away from students. The will to question starts dying, and eventually system starts to crumble, as there wont be enough people to educate. India at present can not think of becoming a developed economy, un till and unless we just gear up to educate all female and children, I am delibratingly leaving males from the list, because their participation is nation building is limited, its women, and childred which builds nation from within.
Another way we are killing the very spirit of education is by taking away the right of making mistakes. With time and development we started putting to heavy a price on mistakes, which meant we said that we are not in position to allow mistakes to happen and in a way took away the experimental spirit from students and children. And thing which stands to testify what I am saying is all the successful researches, products which in process of building faced zillions of failure.
So what teachers are doing, what are teachers of teachers doing. Before changing education system we need to put some thought in the process of how we are getting teachers. How are they being educated? Teaching as I see is more about inspiring than transpiring. Will I take teaching some day to prove the point? May be yes! but just may be. Till then you can watch this video and sing song with it.
We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey teacher leave them kids alone
All in all it's just another brick in the wall
All in all you're just another brick in the wall

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey teacher leave us kids alone
All in all you're just another brick in the wall
All in all you're just another brick in the wall

Today is no teachers day, neither students day...do we need a day to put our thoughts.
Long Live freedom, as stated in constitution.

‘Bapu’-A true satyagrahi.

Mahatma the enlightened one
Won a war without sword or gun
Born in Sourashtra, a small costal town
Which because of him achieved world renown
A gentle human with a rare philosophy
Left his imprint in the annals of history
He threw back the conquerors across the seas
By showing them the power of his inner pace
Ahimsa he followed and brought a bondless revolution
Without him our country we couldn’t call our nation
His message to us is simple and clear
If we, ignore it, the price we pay is dear
Discriminate not on creed and caste
Stand united, be Indian first and last
Bapu, sometimes I dream if you were in our midst
Wouldn’t you face up to the terrorists?
Wouldn’t you convert him who smuggles and plunders?
Wouldn’t you set right our wayward leaders?
Wouldn’t you today save my country?
And restore it to its ultimate glory???
Bapu, I dream, a dream, will my dream come true
Will you born again
My country needs you.

WET and after WET.

We finally went through WET (for the first time we named it WET for Ways entrance test) where we wanted to check, how much wet were you with creativity intelligence and all such good things. To tell you all, we are evaluating your sheets and by coming monday the results should positively be out. We had nice presence but once again not as holistic as we wanted, but round about we had some 70 participants though, its not worth adulations but we were and are happy to see enthused students who wanted to do something good.
I said it during test and saying it once again, getting into Ed-Board is one thing and contributing for magazine is another, and somehow those who are not in Ed-Board hold greater importance for us than those inside and thats so for two reasons, first; those outside ed-board are the major contributor of material and secondly they are also the readers, the most important thing for the ones inside ed-board. Many of my peers may hate how I de-glorify things, but I have found out with sheer experience that most of the times this glory is simply faux. Even in ed-board we do not look beautiful after we sit for hours in a small room in front of a computer at printers place, and all that glory business vanishes at that point of time. So even you do not get into ed-board, we the board members feel great honor in providing you the toughest and trickiest job, the job of critic, we need it.
Now there may be one question brewing into your heads, what after WET, after WET we will have WIT for you. WIT is abbreviated form for Ways Induction Test, it would be interview + a more rigorous test of your writing skills, checking every gene of your thought process. So get ready for it...but yes there is still some time for it, probably a week or so but not more than that.
I love two things, first: queries, second: more queries. so please put your queries in as comments or mail them to us if they are classified type ;) .

1 rupee = 45 US $

There has been a tremendous improvement in Indian economy. India’s exports have increased and imports decreased. As economy is power, India has become a superpower.

John: wow! Let me see. Which place is this?
Charlie: that’s Shahpura Lake, Bhopal.
John: fundoo yaar! Hey look, he’s got a Tata Pico as well.
Julia: Let me see, sexy yaar! This guy enjoys life there, doesn’t he?
John: do you know how much a Tata Pico costs? Nearly 200K, try converting into dollars.
Charlie: oops! Can’t even think of such things here.
Julia: lets go to India and try for jobs.
[Everyone exited]

SCENE 2

Venue: Sun Microsystems, San Francisco, California, US.

Peter: hey guys, my visa is expected anytime. Soon I’ll be flying to India.
Andy: when is the party?
Peter: when I get it on hand.
Linda: where will you be working?
Peter: I’ll be working in Kohefiza, Bhopal.
Ashley: who’s the client?
Peter: you know BMC, Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
Andy: oh really! One of my cousin works there in the road-cleaning department. Really challenging job man! People there work on the cutting edge of technology.
Peter: I’ll be writing software for the accounts department of the GCU.
Ashley: what’s GCU?
Peter: that is Garbage Collecting Unit.
Andy: that is what I like about that country. Everyone gets the job according to his or her capabilities. Not like here. See! I’m writing software for the space shuttle remote control. I hate this.
Peter: why don’t you also try for a job there? I’m sure there will be something for you as well.
Andy: yes. You are right.
Peter: don’t worry. I’ll give you my Hotmail id. Send me your resume and I will forward it to the HRD.

[Everyone takes his Hotmail id]

Steve: great dude! Enjoy your life there. Got full aid, eh?
George: yeah. I got the UGC scholarship that will be Rs.1200 per year.
Steve (thinking loudly): 1200 Indian Rupees……!
That means 1200*45 = 54000 US dollars
Wow! With that amount I can buy a three bedroom flat and a Mercedes here. Lucky you!
